Which brand & colour are you wearing in your picture?
This is Arctic Fox, sunset orange and cosmic sunshine. I read only that sunset orange is a bit too red if you apply it directly, so I mixed it with a yellow. At the beginning it was bright red and than faded to this lovely orange.
How does this hair colour make you feel?
Like the red, I think this colour suits me better. It is one of my favourites. I fell happy when I look at it.
How was your hair before you applied the colour (ie pre-bleached, growing out old colour, etc)?
It was dyed yellow and I applied orange over it, so I didn't bleach it for this colour.
What is your favourite hair dye brand and what is so great about it?
Arctic Fox, because they do what they are supposed to do. They last, smell great, are cruelty-free and overall just great.
Your no.1 advice for dyeing your own hair is:
Do your research! I know most of us DIY dye our hair at home, but you can realllllly mess up your hair if you don't know anything about what you are doing. I spent a lot of time on the internet looking at videos (we all know Brad Mondo) and did research on what developer I needed and how to take care of my hair etc. There are tricks when it comes to applying the bleach or hair colour and you will find them all if you spent some time on the internet before impulsively dying your hair.
