Which brand & colour are you wearing in your picture?
Dye With Attitude in Playful, because I wanted purple hair. It turned out blue, but I loved it (you'll see why in the next question/ answer).
How does this hair colour make you feel?
Well, I am known as the "blue goth girl" to the ones who do not know me, so it's one of my trade marks. Actually, I got the "nickname" because I combine lots of (royal) blue accessories and make-up with my black clothes. I think that if everything is black, you can't see all the details and we all know that the Devil is in the details! ;)
How was your hair before you applied the colour (ie pre-bleached, growing out old colour, etc)?
It was pre-bleached.
What is your favourite hair dye brand and what is so great about it?
The best one I tried was Prestige, because they are so cheap (euro 1.8), have a great range of colours and the they are wonderful! You can hold it on your hair 5-40 minutes. The first time I used it, my hair was faded green and green pigment is hard to get out of hair. I held it for only 20 minutes and it took all the green out and turned out completely purple. It lasted 5 weeks and then I left the hair dye on for just 15 minutes, because it started to fade to blue and there was no need to hold it longer. PS. The package is big, 100 ml. Now that I have long hair, I need your whole package just for the highlights. Thanks for making Attitude Hair Dye big (135 ml); it would be even better if it were 150 ml@
Your no.1 advice for dyeing your own hair is:
Dye your hair in vibrant colours, if you want the colour to last. When they start fading, you will have wonderful pastel hair. If you dye it in pastel tones, it will fade very quickly and you will have to dye it every 7-10 days.
